Introducing
the first Smart Material Handling, Transfer, and Reservoir System.
Finally, no more having to forklift
barrels of material into the assembly/production area. No more
having to rotate barrels into a horizontal position for placement
into a barrel rack. No more having to keep redundant inventories
in the assembly production area in support of continuous operations. |

Typical Smart Material Support System
Package |
The New Smart Material Support System addresses those problems
and many more! The new system includes Barrel Transfer Conveyor
Dolly and a corresponding barrel conveyor, Material Transfer
and Reservoir System Unit. |
The Barrel Transfer Dollies are used
to transport barrels of material from the warehouse to the assembly
/ production area. Additionally, the Dollies are used to transfer
the barrels from and onto the Material Transfer/Reservoir System.
The Material Transfer and Reservoir System serves to provide
means of lift and transfer of material from barrel into a proprietary
pressure controlled fluid reservoir system. |

 |
The lift and transfer of material is
accomplished using a pneumatically driven twin diaphragm transfer
pump with vacuum lift capability to lift material from the barrel.
The material is transferred to a reservoir system for use during
change-out of the barrel.
The system uses pressure feedback from an external pressure
transmitter in a closed loop circuit to maintain a constant
controlled pressure in the fluid reservoir support system.
Pressure Set-point is established using an potentiometer with
a precision micrometer knob located on the front panel enclosure. |
 |
The system includes means from which to notify operators of
pending barrel changeover requirements. This is accomplished
by use of a proprietary spring/switch system. Standard notification
of impending barrel changeover is two (1) hour. The springs
are also used to tilt the barrel towards the rear of the unit
whereby material usage may be maximized.
The control system includes a three tier stack light notification
system to alert operators of system status. System control is
insured by use of a microprocessor based relay logic controller.
Controller provides serial communications capability. System
status may also be monitored by use of contact closures.
The Smart Material Handling / Transfer and Reservoir System
may be configured to include a Smart
Pump Dispense System (simplex or duplex) in a stand alone
configuration or on one common platform.
